Welcome to the Youth Risk and Resilience (YR²) Lab!
Our research focuses on a range of self-harming behaviors in youth, including suicidal (e.g., suicide attempts) and nonsuicidal self-injury (e.g., nonsuicidal cutting). With a foundation in clinical science, our lab is specifically interested in understanding the psychological processes that lead to suicidal and self-injurious behaviors, improving identification and prediction of these behaviors, and identifying modifiable targets for intervention and prevention. Visit the research section of our website to learn more.
The YR² Lab is currently located in the Department of Clinical and Social Sciences in Psychology at the University of Rochester and will be extending to the Department of Psychology at Old Dominion University in January 2020.
The YR² Lab logos were designed by the Ludlow Group.
