Welcome to the Youth Risk and Resilience (YR²) Lab!

Our research focuses on a range of self-harming behaviors in youth, including suicidal (e.g., suicide attempts) and nonsuicidal self-injury (e.g., nonsuicidal cutting). With a foundation in clinical psychological science, our lab is specifically interested in understanding the psychological processes that lead to suicidal and self-injurious behaviors, improving identification and prediction of these behaviors, and identifying modifiable targets for intervention and prevention. Visit the research section of our website to learn more.

The YR² Lab is located in the Department of Clinical and Social Sciences in Psychology (CSP) at the University of Rochester. For more information about the CSP, visit the department webpage.

The YR² Lab logos were designed by the Ludlow Group.
